Everyone gets the gitters when it comes to waiting for a long time. How long is really long? Minutes can feel like hours days like weeks and so on and so forth. Have you ever ordered something online and shipping says maybe a week? Just because you know it says a week you will make it feel as if it’s about a month. It’s all in you mindset and how bad you want something. I know at least for me I am not a very patient person either I get it soon or I don’t want it. It’s a bad habit but I have broken it some times before.
One day I was at the DMV (department of motor vehicles) to get my I.D. I was waiting for what seemed to feel like days but all together I was really only waiting about three hours at the most. Its not the first time this has happened to me, it’s very often I will get impatience and lose interest. I have mastered this now I will start thinking about something out that will kill time while I am waiting. For the most part it does work but it can only take up so much time.
I feel that some people have more patients then others it really just depends on the person and the situation. If that person was brought up to the point where they don’t need to wait for anything, then growing up they will have problems with being patient. For the people that were brought up to wait and have patients when they grow up they wont have an issue waiting. I believe technology might have some play in this because say for instance you are doing a homework assignment instead of looking for information in the book you use Google to get answers. Even when typing a paper for an assignment you have spell check for the most part Technology does most of the work for people now days.
