A few questions that I could come up with from this week’s
reading on Liberal Arts Education were:
1.
Why is Liberal Arts Education so important?
2.
How could you compare Liberal Arts Education to
growth mindset?
3.
In what ways will someone benefit from a Liberal
Arts Education?
Out of all the questions that I have come up with the one
that I would believe to be at more college level than the other questions that I
had come up with is question two “How could you compare Liberal Arts Education
to growth mindset?”
The reason that I have chosen question was because yes
anyone can answer it but you can go in depth with the question. First you would
have to know what growth mindset is; someone’s most basic abilities can be
developed through dedication and hard work. Then you would have to know what
Liberal Arts Education is; taking extra classes when it is not recommended for
your major so that you have more knowledge. When comparing the two you could realize
that they are not focused on just one topic at hand. They are focused on going
outside of the box and not just doing what is needed. When it comes to the
reality of things the way that the world is enhancing at every moment in time
it can be hard to keep up. If we stay one step ahead and taking the extra
classes we will know more than some.
When it comes time for all of us to go into the career field
that we chose they won’t just look at the classes you did take and what you do
know, but they will want to know they extra that is not needed. For an example at
the job that I work at it is in the Food industry they were not focused on what
classes I take but it caught there attention that I did cheerleading. They had seen
that I had that extra spunk that they were looking for. Which does pay off in
the long run, so not matter what you are studying they best thing to do is take
the extra classes that you don’t think you will need. Sooner or later when it
comes to a situation where you need that knowledge on the class you didn’t take
because you “didn’t need it” you will need it then.
